Hi,
Looking for some advice if possible. I've had my iPad for approximately 8 months now and just recently I have let the battery die completely(not intestinally I might add). After both occasions I have had to do a full restore which, if I'm honest, I find quite annoying. Is this normal? Or is there a setting that I need to change? If not will I have to simply return it as faulty?
Any suggestions/advice would be welcome

Nothing special. Take this weekend, I went away with the iPad but without the charger, used it for various things until it died. Came home, plugged it in to charge and left overnight. Turned it on in the morning and it tells me I have to connect to iTunes, which I do. At this point the message pops up in iTunes that the iPad is in a restore state and I have to do a complete restore from that point
I would just restore and setup as new and drain the battery see if it comes back stating to restore via iTunes again. Most definatley your iPad should not go in to recovery mode when the battery drains, if it still does will need to setup for service with Apple.
If the battery completely drains you shouldnt have to restore the device. What are you doing to the iPad once the battery is completely dead? (Step by step)
When you plugged the iPad in to charge was it just the wall charger or connected to your computer? And when you restore your iPad are your restoring from a backup?
Wall charger. First bacup was from local iTunes, 2nd was from the cloud
