Which device are you adding the photos to photo stream from?  Are you trying to stream them from your iPad to your Mac or from your Mac to your iPad?

Photo stream photos don't appear on icloud.com if that's where you're looking.  They only appear on devices and computers signed into your iCloud account with photo stream enabled.

Thanks, I think it is solved?  With computers one never knows.  I do not know why we do not have a folder on icloud that keeps out photos, we could access from all devices.  Too simple for me?

I got rid of old photos on ipad and the new one showed up.  We will see how this works in the future.

    Thanks again.

You're welcome.  iCloud only keeps your photo stream photos in iCloud for 30 days (even though up to 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted).  I assume it's because photo stream is completely free, and doesn't count against your iCloud storage plan, so Apple had to place limits on how much is stored and for how long.  As a result, they don't attempt to make them available on icloud.com.

If you want to be able to access photo stream photos on the web you have to create a shared photo stream as a public website, as discussed here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99. Then you will be given a link to view them from any computer.
