Are Logic Studio pre-installed virtual instrument samples free to use?

I'm recently developing an iOS app and thinking of using Logic Studio to create some simple background music/SFX.However I'm completely new to making digital music, and I'm still learning the basics of using the software.I get confused about how the virtual instrument samples that came pre-installed with the software are copyright protected.

I mean, for example, can I just choose a specific virtual instrument for each of the tracks, write the music, pack it in the file format I need, and put it in my iOS app?Or are they copyright protected like most of the fonts that have been pre-installed on my computer system, which I can use on my Mac only, but have to pay for individual license fees for any means of redistribution?

Thanks.

Logic Studio, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
