Final Cut Pro X keeps quitting and will not stay open since yesterday

I tried to burn a Blu-ray of an already prepared movie that have burned to DVD etc. During the process the appication closed and will no longer open. I reinstalled the app from my time capsule that was a week old as everything was fine a week ago. Same thing happens, refuses to stay open.

What exactly happens when you try to start? Does it show anything? Perhaps showing the splash screen and crashing when loading projects?

You can set aside your projects and events (move them from "Final Cut Events" to a new parallel folder called e.g. "Final Cut Events - Hidden" and likewise for projects). If it then starts, you'll know there is something that got corrupted. Bring them back gradually to determine which one.

Thanks for this, I should have done it in the first place, I always remove files once I have finsied with them and have 4TB of files from Final Cut and iMovie. Anyway all worked thanks and the file i was working on must be corrupt because when i put it back it crashed again. The screen was opening up and showing Events (top left) and the crashing immediately. Now fixed and since I have now imported more files and made a movie. Thanks again.
