If you haven't already done so, delete MacKeeper from your Mac. Don't simply stop using it, DELETE it.
It's a process of elimination with regards to your symptoms. Deleting MacKeeper eliminates a big potential cause to your symptoms.
If you have already properly removed MacKeeper then the next thing to check is available hard disk space.

Basically... Make sure you have enough Free Hard Drive space for your Mac to Perform as expected...
