My Ipod Classic is showing a Lock Icon at the top left corner i can do restore and sync but my ipod keys are not working at all and goes off as soon as i disconnect it from my mac? any one can help me out in this????

Thanks but this wasn't helpfull for me in my situation. coz i'm just getting the language option while i disconnect my iPod and even my scroller is not working so i need more help...
