New message contains old text

Hi, I'm having a strange problem with my Iphone 4 (ios 6.1.3). When i create a new message, the text box is pre-filled with the text from a previously sent message. It is always the same text. The same thing happens if I want to forward a message - the text box is filled with content of the old message rather than the actual text i want to forward. Any ideas what could be happening here? Seems very odd, only started occurring a few days ago.

the only way i could solve this issue was to restore the phone and set it up as a new device. My guess would be there is a problem with the SMS database and the only way to reset that is to perform the steps previously mentioned 😕

If you have a back up for your device that was before this started happening, i would suggest restoring to that back up first.
