iPhone 4S airplay AppleTV Help

I have digital copies of movies on my iPhone 4S and I'm trying to watch them through airplay on AppleTV. I am receiving "An error occurred loading this content" message. I am using both Flixster app and VUDU Player app. On the VUDU Player app, sound does transfer correctly to my home theater system but the picture stays on my phone. On the Flixster app if I go to "My Movies" I receive the error message above; however, if I go to "Box Office" on the Flixster app to watch movie trailers it works on AppleTV correctly. Also, videos from YouTube and Lynda.com work with airplay on AppleTV correctly. Please help with resolving my issue.
