I don't want MagicMouse to wake my Macbook Pro

I've already unchecked the "Allow bluetooth devices to wake this computer" under system preferences. This does n't seem to work. My MagicMouse continues to wake the computer. I share the mouse with an iMac and when at home I want the mouse only on the iMac. I've tried numerous times to make the iMac the preferred device but that doesn't work either. So whenever I'm at home, the mouse wakes the laptop even though it isn't even open. Thoughts?
