headphones splitter for line-in loop in to record cause kernel Panic ?

ust had a kernel panic after looong time and trying to isolate cause... may it be cause i started using a splitter in the headphones and go back in the line-in and have been plugging unpluggin it ? ... i know external things cause panics, i had it last year with the MBox driver issue ..😢
