May 12, 2013 1:02 PM in response to groovycatmediaby judysings,Hi groovycatmedia,
The information below should help you get the Notes app working on your iOS devices:
To sync Notes over the air you need one of the following devices:
- iPhone 3GS or later
- iPod touch (3rd generation or later)
- iPad (all models)
Notes are associated with an IMAP email account or iCloud account. To sync Notes, enable Notes for each account in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Settings > iCloud.
Hope this helps ...

Jun 13, 2013 7:06 AM in response to Jackjohnsonseaby Meshugnieh,I have the exact same issue happening. I've tried pretty much everything I could think about. Did you find a solution?

Jun 13, 2013 7:34 AM in response to Meshugniehby Jackjohnsonsea,★HelpfulNo and nobody from Apple Support is responding. I like Apple, don't get me wrong, but I find it super challenging and alot of work to get answers to questions short of taking 2 - 3 hours of my personal time and going to a store. This is not good in my opinion!

Jul 22, 2013 3:57 PM in response to judysingsby M O,I am trying to solve my syncing issues with OSX 10.8.4 and iphone 4 ios 6.1.3. When I create a note on the Mac, it will appear in the iphone's notes. When I create a note in iphone notes, it will not appear on the Mac notes app.
In the "ios syncing notes" document here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4191
it says the following:
In Notes on your iOS device or Mac, verify that your notes are not stored in a local folder. Example: On My iPhone or On My Mac. If you have notes in these folders, you will need to copy or transfer them to iCloud or IMAP to sync with your other devices.
Where in Notes on the Mac can you specify where the notes are stored?
TIA

Aug 10, 2013 7:15 AM in response to M Oby Sully2003,★HelpfulI have same exact problem! Can anyone tell us how to sync Notes between iPhone 4S and Mountain Lion? I have followed all these suggestions-created iCloud mail, etc... with no results. My Notes on MacBook
have not been updated since 2012.

Sep 17, 2013 9:48 AM in response to Sully2003by julester23,Are you using CalDAV as described here? As said above, Notes are synchronized to an email account, so if you are using Gmail by default on your iPhone, all the notes are going into Gmail which will not be syncrhonized with your iCloud notes.
In Notes on the phone, select "Accounts" in the top left, and select "All Notes" or "iCloud" to see what is stored there. I do not know of any means for copying or moving notes between "Gmail" account and "iCloud" on the phone.
For Gmail Notes, look for the label called "Notes" in your gmail account (in a web browser at http://www.gmail.com/). See here for some additional questions about that.

Sep 24, 2013 9:08 AM in response to groovycatmediaby djbkac,MIne is similar: I'm using the following: iPod Touch 3rd Gen iOS6, iPhone 4 iOS7, MacBook Pro OS 10.7.5 and iMac OS 10.7.5 - everything syncing well and running smoothly - icloud working well for notes - make it on one, it appears on all.
Now the issue... I have one iMac running 10.8.5 - and it won't sync the notes! It syncs email, everything else... but not notes. Checked all settings everywhere and they all say it should be good to go!

Sep 24, 2013 10:22 AM in response to djbkacby Eric Root,System Preferences/iCloud - try un-checking Notes sync, log out/in, reselect it, and open Notes.

Sep 26, 2013 2:28 PM in response to groovycatmediaby jaysnoop,★HelpfulI HAVE THE SOLUTION!!!
Okay, sorry to yell, but this was bothering the heck out of me! I thought it was an issue with Notes on my iMac, but it turns out that it has everything to do with the phone settings. Apparently, in their infinite wisdom, Apple decided to CHANGE your default note location when you upgraded to iOS7! For some reason they thought it would be a good idea to default your iCloud notes to store somewhere OTHER than iCloud! Besides being extremely infuriating, it's at least an easy fix.
Settings --> Notes --> Default Account --> (change this to) iCloud
WHY Apple?! Just because I updated to iOS7 doesn't mean I want you messing with all my defaults! And WHY would you default to something other than an Apple product??!!

Sep 27, 2013 9:15 AM in response to jaysnoopby Eric Root,Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
