Q: Capture video from my Canon EOS 5D Mark II into FCP6.

I can't figure out how to capture video from my Canon EOS 5D Mark II to FCP6. My camera is connected via USB. When I open FCP6, It doesn't see any devices connected. What do I need to do?

Final Cut Pro 6, iOS 6.1.4

If you don't have the plug-in, download this one. (The page is for a 60D, but the 7D, et al used the same one; the 5D Markii is no longer on the Canon list.)

You will have most reliable results if you use a cardreader and copy the card structure completely and intact to your computer.

You can then use log & tramsfer and it will mount the folder and transcode your clips to an editing codec.

    Good luck.
