Icloud back up SMS
Hello there.How can i back up my SMS on my iphone using icloud?

tried that but doesnt give me any option to select the SMS to back up.
You can't just select to backup SMS messages. A host of data including SMS is in the backup. There may be some third party program that will do it for you but not the backup that is achieved in the cloud or with itunes

Something like Tansee iPhone Transfer SMS or ibackupbot programs that you can download into your computer might work for you

Enabling iCloud Storage & Data Backup will back up your iPhone SMS text messages. However, in order to restore them back to your iPhone, you'd need to restore back your whole iPhone settings and data to the backup made via the iCloud Storage & Data Backup as iCloud does not restore separate pieces of data (such us only SMS or only settings, apps, etc).
You can alternatively use third-party tools to back up and archive your iPhone SMS text messages in HTML format on your computer as seen below:
