Connect Thunderbolt Display to Desktop Pc

Hi guys, i would like to know if is it possible to connect the T.D. to a desktop pc which i want to buy soon..if this pc has a mobo like this i mean: http://www.asus.it/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_PROTHUNDERBOLT/ or this http://it.msi.com/product/mb/Z77A-GD80.html



I don't know much about thunderbolt technology, but i read on the web that it's not possible to use a minidisplayport cable, am i right?

Mini DisplayPort cables won't work. The Apple displays comes with an attached Thunderbolt cable, but you can also use it with longer Thunderbolt cables via its Thunderbolt port.

I found the following review which has a video where the guy shows a PC running an Apple Thunderbolt display. I found it helpful. I'm personally going to swap out my existing motherboard for an ASUS Z87-Expert. It's a difference of $80.00 from my existing MB. A bit pricey, but at least it'll work. :-)
