Period Key on Keyboard
Strange - My Period key does not work while I am in OSX 10.7.5 (had to use the numpad for those periods) If I go to bootcamp win7, the period key works fine. any thoughts?

If the period key on your keyboard isn't working, but it only appears to be happening when you are booted to OS X, you may want to take a look at the following articles about key behavior troubleshooting. The second article is a bit older, but provides more explanation as to the steps and expected behavior:

If you are still having the issue, you may want to see if you can isolate it as a user account issue:
