I have a Cinema Display M8149. Can I hook it up to....

I have a MacBook Pro Model A1297 and was wondering if I can hook up my Cinema Display M8149 to it? ( It's 24")

I don't know what to do with it?

Would it be possible to hook it up to my MacPro 3.1?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8), FCS 2

If the display uses ADC (Apple Display Connector)

you need a DVI to ADC adapter.

The MacBook pro has no ability to connect to anything except FireWire or USB. Guess no monitor can connect to it.

I guess I woulid be able to use the display with my MacPro.

The MacBook Pro can connect toi almost any display if you use the correct adapters in its Thunderbolt port. For example you can use a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter

followed by a DVI to ADC adapter to run your ADC display.
