As soon as the conversion is finished, go into Music view and sort by Date Added. Your newly created AAC will be the newest thing, right there at the top.

View > View Options, and check the box under "Stats" for "Date Added."

That makes me wonder if the conversion was successful....
Go into Music vew and "Search Entire Library" by the song title. You should come up with the two versions, i.e. the original MP3 and the new AAC. Any joy?

I have been having the same problem. How did you figure out another way to convert to the ringtones? This is driving me crazy!!!
