Q: Urgent help. Finder not responding
Hi everyone. I have a problem regarding my macbook pro. I am currently using OS X Lion, 10.7.5, all software is up to date. The finder application is not responding. I can't access any folder in my macbook. All folders in my desktop disappear.. I try to relaunch the finder but it did not work. I try login as a guest user, the finder works perfectly but when I login as a user, finder cannot be used. The only way for me to access the top bar is by opening other app such as safari. I dont know if this is related to finder application or not, but since the finder not working, my battery runs out very fast. It only last for one to two hours and the fan always makes noise. Pleasa help me.. Thank you.

This procedure will revert the Finder views of all folders in your home folder to the default that you’ve chosen. If you don’t want that, STOP.
Enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (copy and paste):
find ~ -type f -name .DS_Store -deletePosted on May 14, 2013 12:20 PM
