Q: Urgent help. Finder not responding

Hi everyone. I have a problem regarding my macbook pro. I am currently using OS X Lion, 10.7.5, all software is up to date. The finder application is not responding. I can't access any folder in my macbook. All folders in my desktop disappear.. I try to relaunch the finder but it did not work. I try login as a guest user, the finder works perfectly but when I login as a user, finder cannot be used. The only way for me to access the top bar is by opening other app such as safari. I dont know if this is related to finder application or not, but since the finder not working, my battery runs out very fast. It only last for one to two hours and the fan always makes noise. Pleasa help me..   Thank you.

    Put your touchpad coursor on the Finder icon, hold the Option key (alt), right click on the Finder icon and select "Relaunch" option. Then wait for a sec.

    my finder has not been responding and i was having to relaunch anytime i clicked on anything. everything was very slow, a lot of spinning pinwheels. then i checked my servers and reconnected to them. everything seems to be working now, i have a problem with my servers disconnecting randomly but i didn't think they would have anything to do with this problem....check your server connections.

    I cannot launch my finder, search does not work and I get a message saying Finder cannot be launched -10810

    Any ideas? I have no icons on my desktop and just a spinning wheel. Mail and iphoto work just fine. Odd. please help!
