My much loved MacBook Pro has died! So I want to use it's time machine backup currently on an EHD, to restore files (in this case iPhoto library) onto my iMac. It doesn't seem as straight forward as I imagined it to be.
Can anyone help?

Many thanks. I'm currently trying the Migration Assistant and transfering the whole Home folder to a newly created user on my iMac.
Trouble is the back up was created by my MacBook pro, running Snow Leopard and the iMac receiving these files is running Lion, is this a potencial problem?
Mostly not a problem, but there may be some incompatable 3rd party apps or kexts we can deal with later if need be.
