Q: how do I erase all data from iMac G4?

How do I erase all data from an iMac G4? would like to get rid of computer and want to be sure no info of mine is left on it.

    Throw away any files which may contain sensitive data, securely empty the Trash, restart from a compatible Mac OS X install disk, and use the Disk Utility to erase the drive. If you are using a Mac OS 9 disk instead of a Mac OS X one, erase the drive from the Finder's Special menu or Drive Setup.
