how do I remove a secondary iCloud account? I accidentally made two, and discovered one is on my iPad the other is on my phone. I bought more space for one account on the one. Then I tried to delete the other account on iPad, but it still remains there.

If the account you want to delete is in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap the account, then tap Delete Account. If the account is in Settings>iCloud, go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account.
This only deletes the account from the device. If it is on multiple devices, you will have to delete it on each device.
