i have a panasonic hdc -hs 100 camera trying to log and transfer the videos but somehow even with the apple codec, FCP 7 won't find the camera.
i've used with an easy setup for different formats but FCP 7 can't find it.
any solutions?

I have a different Panasonic cam and FCP 7 sees the SD card straight away without any messing around. Never tried reading it while the card is still in the camera.

don't know the camera, but you may have to change a setting or switch on the camera for it be be "seen" by the mac. Might want to check the camera manual. If it uses a memory card, you can get a memory card reader and connect it dirrectly to the mac.
I figured it out, it was "log and transfer" while I was clicking on "...and capture" lol
