Why does Apple take off money even for free apps? And for $0.99 apps, I've lost up to TEN DOLLARS! WHY...?

When they send me a reciept, it says I only paid the shown price (plus tax) but when I check my balance, there are $10.00 LOST!

I'm not impressed with Apple's way of ripping people off.

The Mac App Store should not be taking money off your account for free apps. In making download, they often will attach a hold ($0.99) until the transaction clears but money is not actually charged.

If you feel charges have been made, contact the Mac App Store support staff at: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/ for help.
