I read online that the apple light on the lid of a mac is supposed to "pulse" to the rythm of human breathing when it's in sleep mode, but mine isn't doing that. Should it be pulsing?

My old MBP had a separate white LED near the screen release latch that pulsed when in sleep mode. My MBA does not have that LED or a screen latch for that matter.
The Apple symbol has never flashed - it is lit by the LCD backlight. The MacBook Air doesn't have a separate LED light to pulse when it is asleep. I miss it.
