My Itunes stops responding when I try and sync my Ipod Classic and won't open when I close it.

When I go to sync my Ipod classic, it will sync about 10 songs out of one playlist then stop responding, It doesn't let me do anything but force close Itunes then won't open when I try to open it. Help please, i just updated Itunes like half an hour ago too..
