I made a grade sheet that calculates students' overall percentages through a series of assignments. I figured out how to make a table on a separate sheet with a letter grade rubric, and how to do a VLOOKUP function to convert the percentages into letter grades. My problem, however, was when I copied and pasted the lookup down the line for all of the students' grades, Numbers altered the lookup. That is to say, the raw percentages were in column H. So column I was something like "=VLOOKUP(H2,sheet2::table2::B2:C15,2)" The copied and pasted version for the next record down changed not only H2 to H3 (appropriately), but also B2 to B3 and C15 to C16, messing up my lookup call. I had to modify each Column I cell by hand to get it to work correctly. There weren't many students in this class so it wasn't hard to do, but in the future I would like to do this a more sensible way.
