"An error has occurred"
I tried to perform an update several times, but receive the message "An error has occurred. The operation was cancelled.(3072)" Anybody have a fix for this?
iMac (27-inch Late 2009), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

Usually means another instance of the Application is running, likely in another user account. Either go to the other account(s) & close it, or restart the mac & try again.
Activity Monitor (Applications/Utilities/) when the filter is set to 'all processes', may show you Safari running somewhere.

Doh!
Thanks Andy!
you're welcome - it'd be helpful if Apple made that message more specific - 'you have another instance of $Application running, reboot' or similar.
