Q: Multiple SD-card symbols on import

Since a few days upon import from an SD-card I get multiple symbols for the same SD-card (I only have one inserted)

This happened since when I tried to create a new project to import into with Cmd-N, but I think focus was wrong and instead I get three SD-card symbols. When I press the eject symbol for any all RAW files are not rendered in the import window anymore.

Has anybody seen this before and know how to get rid of this?

OSX 10.8.3, Aperture 3.4.4

First thing to try is to remove your Aperture Preferences. This fixes a lot of interface irregularities (and seems likely to fix your problem). Directions are on the Apple Aperture trouble-shooting page.

You might make a list of your prefs in order to recreate them. Note that none of your Presets are in your prefs, so you don't have to worry about losing/recreating them.

- I reformatted the card several times since.
- I only have one card, so I cannot tell if it also ocurrs wth other cards.
- I close down Aperture several times a day to free up resources.

But I did not reboot my entire machine, I hardly ever do. I just did, and it solved the problem.
