Why does apple tv remote being used to control appletv also make the iMac play music, show preview, and unmute the iMac? Weird and disturbing.
iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7)
On the iMac, open System Prefences, go to Security & Privacy > General > Advanced, and click Unpair.
If the "Advanced" menu is grayed out, you may need to click on the lock icon in the lower left of the window and enter your computer's password.
That helped. I went to advanced and disabled the remote ability and that seems to have solved the problem.

Got appletv yesterday and it works fine on wifi. The problem is that using the apple tv remote on the tv also makes music, preview, etc. do things on the iMac.
