how do upgrade osx 10.5.8 to osx 10.6

I have osx 10.5.8 and 2.4 Ghz intel core 2 duo.


I want to upgrade to osx 10.6 so i can get snow leopard and use the new safari.


My system says there are no updates available.


what do I do??
