iTunes thinks it's downloaded, but it isn't.

iTunes shows a movie as already downloaded, but my iTunes is unable to locate the file in my computer. I can't find it either. Is there a way to re-set iTunes to think that it hasn't been downloaded already?

Windows XP, iTunes 11

Hello Nykteria,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If you want to reset the iTunes library, the following article will walk you though creating a new iTunes library.

Once that is completed, the next step would be inserting in the media.

If you do not know where the iTunes files are located, the following article will set you in the right place.
