How to remove Yahoo location services from iPad 2

I've had my iPad 2 for several years with no problems using Safari. Suddenly a window (box) came up on Safari, asking me to allow Yahoo location services, with no way to refuse the services. I couldn't get back to Safari even with closing and reopening Safari and with shutting down my iPad and restarting it and going back to Safari. The window was still there, and I couldn't close it. I finally accepted Yahoo location services and went to Settings/Location Services to turn the Yahoo locationi services off, but it isn't listed under Location Services. I was really surprised that Yahoo could disable my ability to use the internet on my iPad. What's that about and is there any way to get rid of Yahoo Location Services?

You can turn off Yahoo!'s access to information from pinpointing technology in two ways. You can delete the application and reinstall it or reset all settings.

Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings

Note: That by resetting all settings, you will turn off location functionality for all of your applications, including Yahoo! applications. The next time you use or download the Yahoo! application, you will again be asked to provide your consent for Yahoo! to access your location information.

I'm not using a Yahoo! app, just accessing Yahoo! from Safari, so I don't think deleting and reinstalling applies. If I reset locaton warnings, do I then just go to Settings>Privacy>Location Services and turn on the ones I want?

This is helpful but I'm still blown away that Yahoo! could block my access to the internet via Safari.
