Q: ical items on my phone do not sync to my mac

I cannot get iCal items I create on my iPhone to show up on my Mac.  Both devices have iCloud enabled and have the correct Apple ID setup.  Events I create on my Mac do appear on my iPhone but not the other way around.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
