I recently purchased Cricut Expression 2 machine and when i connect it to my macbook pro i get an error message stating the bus device is pulling too much power from my machine, any ideas how to correct this?

I am completly lost as to where to go for help with this issue

MACBOOK PRO (RETINA, 15-INCH,EARLY 2013), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

You could try getting a powered USB hub and plugging the Circut into that and then plug the hub into the Mac. This way the power is supplied by the hub and not the Mac.


Try to find the specs for the Circut to see just what is required, I'm surprised that this device would be drawing enough power to set off that warning message from the Mac.

Not knowing squat about that device other than that is sounds cool, I can say that such a message means the computer cannot suppply all teh power the device eemands. Thisngs to try:


<> If you are running on battery power when the message appears, try plugging your computer to wall power.


<> Get a powered USB hub. This tye comes with a separate power supply and will correct such low-power issues 95 percent of the time. Getting a USB hub without its own power supply won't help. Here is a web link to one that is proper for your task:
