I am registered with iTunes Canada and have made several purchases there but lately ever time I try to buy a movie or tv show it says " not registered user switch to iTunes Canada"

I might need a little more info in regard to what region you are currently in to help you with this issue.
Try these steps to see if the issue subsides:
Change your iTunes Store country
Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
