Playing the remaining songs in the Up Next list after a Shut Down

How do I get the remaining songs in the iTunes Up Next list to play after I shut down or restart my iMac? To elaborate, let's say I have 30 selections in my Up Next list. For whatever reason, I need to Shut Down my iMac. I close iTunes and Shut Down, then, Restart. I reopen iTunes. If I just hit play, the first song in my library plays. If I select the next upcoming song in the Up Next List, I get the Clear question window, and when I click Play Song, iTunes adds another iteration of that song to the list, so the same song plays twice.

So, how do I get iTunes to just play the remaining songs in the Up Next list without any intervening songs?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3)
