How Do I Make DVD Play Continuously?
I created a DVD
I created a DVD
OOPs, hit return by accident, sorry. What I did was create a DVD using multiple projects from iMovie. They all show up on the menu as I want them, but when the first one ends, the DVD goes back to the main menu, rather than going to the next clip. How can I get it to play all the projects in sequence?
Hello,
Sometimes your DVD player has that as an option.
In iDVD (depending on the version), you'd use the Advanced menu to select that option before you burn the DVD. Here are sample instructions from Apple's help menu: "To turn on looping for a movie or a slideshow in the main iDVD window, select the movie or slideshow button on the DVD menu. Choose Advanced > Loop Movie or Loop Slideshow. To turn off looping, choose Advanced > Loop Movie or Loop Slideshow again."

iDVD doesn't have that capability. Is each element a movie clip or are some slideshows from stills created in iDVD?
If it's the former and you have enought playing time available you can create a slideshow
and add each movie clip to it so all would play continuously.
If this is a possibility don't select any music, select a slide duration to anything except Fit to Audio and do not select any transition.

Thanks, I do have that option, so hopefully it will work!
Follow this workflow to help ensure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
Thanks for the suggestions, and the detail therein!
