Q: how to add usb drives to time capsule after initial setup

How to add USB hard drives to TC after TC is already setup then access the usb drives by both PC and mac?

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

    1. Just plug them in. The drives need to be formatted as FAT16, FAT32, or Mac OS Extended (Journaled), and may need to be connected through a powered USB hub.

    Thank you for the quick response. What I tried to connect was my current usb drive I used t obackup windows vista files. I can see the TC from the Vista Air port utility but I cannot see the usb drive neither on the mac it is not showing as connected. The usb drive is powered separately.

    If the drive is formatted as NTFS, the Time Capsule can't share it.

    Niel, I finally got hold Fat32 USB drive last week and it did show up thru Airport Utility for both Vista and Mac as you noted. For Vista I cannot see the USB drive in explorer to be able to access files on the USB. Is there special software  for it or it is the Vista OS issue?
