Q: syncing all calendars

Login at www.icloud.com and see which calendars are actually on iCloud.

Then only the home calendar is an iCloud calendar, the others must be in the 'On My Mac' account. Move them to iCloud.

You will need to do this one calendar at a time. Please follow the first set of numbered instructions here:

Got a question:  when there's no "On My Mac" option when creating a new calendar how does one get that option back?

Am running 10.8.3 with Calendar Version 6.0 (1648).   There's no On My Mac in the side bar either.

Ok, thanks.  I had the On My Mac section originally but when I moved all of the calendars to iCloud that section went away.  I'll sit here and practice "patience", something the wife says I have too little of. But what does she know.

If you want to restore the On My Mac calendar, hover the mouse over "iCloud" on the Calendars list and click Hide.  Then Control-Click on the left sidebar and select New Calendar.  This should create a local On My Mac Calendar.

'Think different' indeed. I wonder what happened to intuitive operation.

You would think it would just be File>New Calendar>On My Mac, wouldn't you?  I couldn't find this documented anywhere so I just keep experimenting until I discovered this.

I've been wondering how to do that!  And, I can confirm this works - just tested it.  After that, the File >> New Calendar entry shows On My Mac again.  If you delete the last On My Mac calendar, the option under File goes away again.
