Q: If I'm out of the country does my photo stream still work?

For some reason all my photos are gone from my iphone all I did was turn it on and off, I normally have photostream on, my computer is back in Brazil would my photos still be at my computer even though I'm here in the US with my iphone 4s and my computer is back in Brazil?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.4

    What did you turn off and on - photo stream or the iphone?  If photo stream, then by turning it off, that deleted the photos in the photo stream folder, and then by turning it on, that synced down whatever photos were still stored on Apple's servers that were in your photo stream.  But don't forget, photos are only kept on the server for 30 days, and only the last 1000 (if over 1000, the earlier ones are deleted).  Hence it you had no photos added to the stream during the last 30 days, then they were no longer on the servers, and by turning on photo stream on the device, you got nothing downloaded.

     

    Photos in the photo stream folder on other devices/computers well still be there, as long as you don't turn the stream off and on.
