Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.

1. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out.

2. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off.

3.To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.

No. 3194 is a connection failure typically due to a MIS routed host file. It's nothing to do with your account.

For Windows, navigate to C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/ and find the file that’s named “hosts”

For Mac, the file is in /etc/

Open the file in Notepad (or any other text editing software) (for Windows users, open this with Administrator Privileges)

You’ll likely have this line at the bottom of the file:

74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

Either comment this line out by typing a single ‘#’ (without the quotes) in front of the line (before 74) or remove the line entirely.

Now, save the hosts file and then try updating your iPhone through iTunes.

In most cases, the error shouldn’t pop up now.

Cheers

Hi Tech madness- I have a Ipad 3 that took an update then powered down. I now only see the apple icon flash on and off every couple seconds.

Once I try to recover it it gets all the way to verification then gives me a message 1602 USB cable or port issue.

I have tried several cables different computers including apple shut down fire wall and any security software.

Any help would be appreciated .

I read the previous post you have but it looks like some stuff has been removed?
