Values get 'stuck' when using Hyper Editor and affect all notes

I'm not sure if these are bugs or if I'm misunderstanding something about the Hyper Editor. When I edit something in the Hyper Editor, for example the modulation or pitch bend, two things tend to occur:

1) The value gets stuck. For example, if I draw a pitch bend bar for one note, and then erase the bar, the pitch is still bent.

2) Changing the value for something affects all other notes on that track. For example, if I draw a pitch bend bar for one note on that track, it affects the pitch of all other notes on that track, including any notes before it.

Thanks for any help.

1) Imagine using a pitchbend wheel on a synthesizer... they're "spring" loaded to always go back to a default zero setting, what you're seeing is normal behavior. You would have to set pitchbend back to it's zero setting to get back to standard pitch.

(curious, is this on internal or external instruments?)

2) Also normal, pitchbend is global for the MIDI channel, all notes will be pitch changed.

There's a couple of settings you might want to look at.....

Settings/MIDI/Chase.... You can try selecting "Send Full MIDI Reset Before Chasing"

Also.... Preferences/MIDI/Reset Messages Select "Send Used Instrument Settings on Reset"

Not sure about the results, I don't use these and tend to enter all required MIDI commands in the sequence rather than relying on a "setting".

Remember, "Settings" are per song

"Preferences are Global and affect all past and future projects"
