I just updated to ios 6.1.3 and I lost all the music that was in my iphone 3GS after the upgrade

I tries using itunes to sync the music again but it failed to transferred any songs over to the iphone. When I click on the MUSIC icon in the iphone, it shows NO CONTENT.

iPhone 3GS, iOS 6.1.3
