The reason why I want to reset my iphone is because my imessage doesn't work. I updated to ios 6.0.1 and my imessage stopped working. I have read through pages on how to fix it but then I saw some people reseted or rebooted their iphone. So I wanna reset it. But im not sure if its gonna make my unlocked iphone no longer unlocked. Cause I don't want to spend money to unlock it again.

If your iPhone was properly unlocked, having never been jailbroken or hacked, and unlocked through the original carrier it was locked to, then Erase all content and settings will work fine.
I wonder if you can help me understand why my (factory) unlocked phone 'locked' after resetting/erasing contents?

As KiltedTim suggested in the other post you referenced, you need to contact your friend's original carrier. They are the only ones who can unlock the iPhone.
If I erase all contents and settings, will my unlocked iphone be unlocked anymore or not ?
