Can anyone help?

I've looked everywhere for a solution for my problem and havent found one. It is the first time signing into iMessage on my ipod (I've neva been on it b4 on my ipod) and when I sign in it asks me whether i wanna use my email i tick it and press next but it just goes back to the sign in page. It's really fustrating!!! I've tryed heaps of stuff and looked everywhere but haven't found anyone whos got the same problem. Pls help!!
