Only rent in HD but not purchase?
How come you can only rent some movies in HD but not purchase them?
You can purchase them in SD, but that's not the point really.

It's the film studio's choice, they decide whether a particular film is available as a purchase and/or rental, and for each whether it's in HD and/or SD format.
