the iSight camera on Cinema Display suddenly does not seem to work with SYPE anymore, what can one do?

Yes, All of a sudden! Skype does not work with my Apple 27" Display connected to my MBP. If I disconnect the MBP from the Display and open Skype, it works, Facetime works fine.

Anyone with a fix?

(1) Restarting Mac may get things working again.

(2) If not, and if your camera works with all video apps but Skype,

test Skype function in a new user account.

(3) If the problem continues, try an older version of Skype

as suggested in this Skype Discussion Thread.

(4) If nothing else resolves your Skype specific problem, sign in to Skype

for help from Skype's Technical Support Team.
