May 14, 2013 12:10 PM in response to Ashley11992by LarryHN,★HelpfulIf the two machines are on different networks youy can not share a library - and you should not edit or import photos over a wireless network
Photostream is perfect solution - use the same Apple ID for each on iCloud and set to automatically import new photos from PS - then each computer can add new photos to PS and they will automatically imported into the other computer

May 14, 2013 12:20 PM in response to LarryHNby Ashley11992,Thank you! This was very helpful. I do have a few more questions though;
- Can there be several apple IDs for the same computer? So instead of using one of our personal Apple IDs, could we creat one just for our business?
- Also, we also use our computer for personal use and only want to share the business related photos with each other. Is that possible?

May 14, 2013 12:25 PM in response to Ashley11992by LarryHN,★HelpfulApple IDs are not really associated with hardware - they are a log in - you can log into iCloud with yoru Apple ID form any computer - and you can set up an Apple ID just for your busienss use - to update a computer you need to log into the App store using the Apple ID you used to set the computer up - it does not ahve to be the same as your iClould log in
Sure - the only photos shared are teh ones you drag to the PhotoStream

May 14, 2013 12:28 PM in response to LarryHNby Ashley11992,Thank you! One more question, for now:
- If I share an album from my photo library via photostream of say 20 photos of chairs and my business partner gets that update on her computer (which ahs her own personal photos I have no use for) will the new photos/album just be added to her iphoto library?

May 14, 2013 12:39 PM in response to LarryHNby Ashley11992,Gotcha, awesome. Would my partner have to sign into iCloud of the update or will it happen automatically? Will there be any problems if she signs into her own, perosnal iCloud account?

May 14, 2013 1:28 PM in response to Ashley11992by léonie,You might consider to use "Shared Photo Streams" instead of the regular Photo Stream. Each of you could create pne or more Shared Photo Streams and use them to send Photos and invite the other to read the Photos. This way you do not need to use the same AppleID or iCloud account. When you post a photo in the shared stream your partner will receive an alert, also you can add comments to the photo.
See:
iCloud: Using and troubleshooting Shared Photo Streams
For example, a shared stream below. The callouts indicated that the receiver left a comment - you can have a long discussion associated with shared each photo.

For the autopmacit import I described to work everyone will ahve to log into iCloud using one Apple ID - and while they are logged in and iphoto is running every thing places in the PS by any user will be in=mported into all other users iPhoto libraries

May 14, 2013 11:05 PM in response to LarryHNby léonie,use the same Apple ID for each on iCloud and set to automatically import new photos from PS -
But that is very restrictive, Larry - using the same AppleID in iCloud would prevent them from syncing all their personal contacts, mail, bookmarks, .... to their work account. Sharing an AppleID in iCloud is sharing all your iCloud data tied to that account. To prevent your collegue from sharing your personal data you would have to continuously switch between AppleIDs,and that is always error prone. Why risk that, when there are shared photo streams that you can use from your personal AppleID and still share with others? Any account shared by more than one person is risky and restrictive, if it is your regular working account.
