Connect MacBook Air to TV/Stereo (thuntherbolt-hdmi-va)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying connect my MacBook Air to TV via: Mac - Thuntherbolt - HDMI - VA. But doesn't work. I already tried just with the the adaptor thuntherbolt to HDMI on my friend's TV and works perfectly, even the AirPlay. But to send via Video/Audio to tv, no AirPlay and nothing audio and video. Even on stereo system. What I need to do to send video and audio to thuntherbolt output?
