May 14, 2013 3:09 PM in response to patriciabeddoesby randers4,This can usually be resolved by turning photo stream off, then after a minute or so, turning it back on. If new photos taken on your phone are not being added to the My Photo Stream album on your iPhone, then the problem is with your phone. If they are but your iPad is not receiving them, then the problem is with your iPad.
Before turning off photo stream, if you want to keep the photos on your device, save them to the camera roll (if not already there) by tapping Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll. If you don't do this, you will ony receive photos added in the last 30 days when you turn it back on.

May 15, 2013 12:39 AM in response to randers4by patriciabeddoes,Thanks for this but it hasn't worked. I have switched both of them off and then on but no response. I've just taken another photo on the Iphone and it hasn't trnasferred to the ICloud on the IPhone and consequently hasn't been transferred to the IPad. I have just renewed my annual fee to ICloud so want to have this working. Any other ideas????

May 15, 2013 8:20 AM in response to patriciabeddoesby randers4,You might be having network connectivity issues with the iCloud server. You might try taking a photo another while connected to a different wifi network, then close the camera app and see if the photo appears in your my photo stream album after a minute or so. If it does, that indicates that the problem is with your network. Solutions would include power-cycling your wireless router (unplugging it for 15 seconds, then plugging it back in) followed by resetting network settings on your phone (in Settings>General>Reset), updating the firmware on your router, and changing the router's DNS settings to use Google's public DNS (see https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using).

May 15, 2013 9:07 AM in response to randers4by patriciabeddoes,Oh dear! I rather feared I was going to be faced with a solution like this...you are dealing here with a techno-infant...simply have no idea how to do what you are saying, don't even understand the language! What seems stange with this problem is that the ICloud is working in regard to my diary etc...it only appears to be non-existant in regard to the photos!!!! As I can't understand these suggestions, should I be getting help form an Apple store?

May 15, 2013 9:20 AM in response to patriciabeddoesby randers4,You can certainly set up an appointment with the Genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them check to see if photo stream is working on the wifi network in their store. If it is, that would at least tell you that the problem is with your home network. You can make a reservation by going here: http://concierge.apple.com/reservation/us/en/techsupport/.
If they determine that it works in the store and the problem is with your wifi network at home, you would have to get a tech-savvy friend to help you trouble shoot this. Just tell them to do the following:
- Power-cycle the wireless router by unplugging it for 15 seconds, then plugging it back in.
- On your device, go to Setting>General>Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.
- Go to Settings>Wi-Fi on your device and rejoin your wireless network.
- Try photo stream again. If it's still not working, go to step 5.
- Change the wireless router's DNS setting to use Google's public DNS, as discussed here: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using. Then try photo stream again. If it's still not working, go to step 6.
- Download and install any available firmware update for the wirless router, then try photo stream again.
